Field Notes on Feasting is about celebrating life and food.
I am a writer, food enthusiast, coffee drinker, adventurer, project starter, and admirer of pretty things. You’ll find me hosting friends for dinner as often as you’ll find me curled up with my cat and a book or exploring city sidewalks and the great outdoors.
Food and cooking is its own language. It can inspire, alleviate pain, bring comfort, and reveal tradition and culture. I’ve explored creative cooking on my own since I started learning to cook in elementary school. I learned from watching—my mother, father, grandmother, sister—reading, trying, and trying.
